Obviously they have a 4th of July in England! Its a day of the year! Only America "celebrates" it!

Its called a wordplay riddle. It confuses you into interpreting the riddle differently. When people hear 4th Of July, the first thing that comes to mind is an American Holiday, not that it is after all, just another day of the year.
Eg:
Q: Can Kangaroos jump higher than the Eiffel Tower?
Now, you'd be tempted to say no, because the Eiffel tower is so damn long, a kangaroo could never jump that high! But...
A: Yes, because the Eiffel tower can't jump!
